Beethoven's seventh in Sakari Oramo interpretation. The first performance took place December 18, 1813 was at a charity concert dedicated to the soldiers who are injured at the battle of Hanau, where Austrian and Bavarian troops clashed with Napoleon's French Army just two months earlier. On the same occasion was also Wellington-symphony to the memory of Wellington's victory over Napoleon at Vittoria. Beethoven himself conducted, with the by then very hard of hearing, and the city of Vienna was there. It was a great success.
