Lousiana Munseum of Modern Art Season 2010-2011

Sophie Calle
23 June – 24 October 2010
Louisiana presents a number of central works by one of France's most famed contemporary artists, including the monumental Take Care of Yourself, which was one of the highlights of the Venice Biennale in 2007.

Anselm Kiefer
10 September 2010 - 9 January 2011
A powerful and gripping presentation of one of the world's most prominent living classic artists. A journey in time and space, an encounter with huge forces, the sweep of history, myths and narratives.
Anselm Keifer at Louisiana is the major art experience of the season.

Walton Ford
12 November 2010 – 6 March 2011
The exhibition of works by American artist Walton Ford (b. 1960 in Larchmont, NY) will be the first presentation in Scandinavia of this distinctive artist. Walton Ford paints watercolours populated with animals of all kinds: birds, fish, monkeys, oxen, tigers and lions, either consuming and fighting one another bestially or being mutilated by human beings in a grim, inscrutable yet beautiful universe.

Picasso: Peace and freedom
11 February – 29 May 2011
Louisiana Museum of Modern Art is intrigued by Picasso. The museum has three fine works by the artist in its collection as well as drawings and prints, and throughout its 50-year history Louisiana has shown no less than four Picasso exhibitions. It is therefore with great joy and pride, that the museum from February will be presenting Picasso: Peace and Freedom with a selection of about 100 works that show the artist's social and political commitments in the period from 1944 until his death in 1973.
