Paquita in National Opera Ballet Paris 2010

Libretto by Paul Foucher and Joseph Mazilier

Paquita enchanted audiences when first performed in 1846 before disappearing from the stage of the Paris Opera. In 2001 Pierre Lacotte lovingly restored this colourful ballet. Intrigues, abduction, and family secrets punctuate this thrilling work combining character dance and stylistic virtuosity.
