Maria Luisa Hernandez: The Pacific Collection at Cadogan Contemporary 2011

Maria Luisa Hernandez: The Pacific Collection at Cadogan Contemporary 6 September 2011 - 8 October 2011
Maria Luisa Hernandez, one of Chile’s most exciting new talents, will be showing The Pacific Collection at the gallery- her latest paintings that were inspired, energised and fed by the waters of the coast near Santiago.

Maria went back to her roots this year and returned to her studio by the beach for three months, after nearly a decade of living and painting in London. She found that the land which had inspired her as a young artist had lost none of its power. She was mesmerised. With this collection, she has captured that spirit: the metamorphosis of the ocean, the power of the Andes, the salt, sand and oxygen of this sublime coastline.

About the Cadogan Contemporary
Cadogan Contemporary is a truly independent art gallery. English in sensibility, we have an international appeal.Trading successfully for over 30 years in Chelsea, our client list is as diverse and distinguished as our stock. From quirky realism to pure abstraction, our selection is eclectic but retains an enduring identity. We exhibit many established and critically acclaimed artists but choose each painting for what we think will connect to people. We have evolved with some of our artists who have been with us since the very beginning as well as always being on the lookout for new talent that will bring our gallery forward.
