ʽEtnofestʼ combines various ethnographic contents: The 13th opening parade of the Festival Kurentovanje with the transfer of power to the Prince of the Carnival and the traditional FECC gathering of carnival figures and masks, the first intercontinental Etnofest, an international majorette group and brass band meeting, the international Karnevalfest – the 52nd international carnival procession, the international meeting of happy masquerade from kindergardens, the traditional Kurent’s jump, the traditional march of the Prince of the Carnival, the evening of the Princes of the Ptuj Carnival, the show of the traditional carnival figures and masks from the region of Dravsko-Ptujsko polje, the Carnival wedding, the Burial of the Carnival, and the transfer of power; Exhibitions: the 8th painting colony “Bejži čopič, kurent gre” and the exhibition about the first intercontinental Etnofest – showing traditional carnival figures and masks from all over the world; Performances: Kurent, Rimske karnevalske zgodbe (Roman Carnival tales), Komedija o loncu (The Comedy about the Pot); Scientific content: the international science symposium titled “Etno tradicija združuje kontinente in publikacijo”; Children and Youth Programme: the Programme of primary schools, children workshops about the Carnival, the project Fašenk.je ali življenje z masko (Fašenk.je or how to live with a mask), Students Maskenball, museum workshops for children, a big children’s masquerade; a Humanitarian Programme – the social gathering and dance of the Organization of the Disabled in the region of Podravje, Humanitarian Carnival ball, and many more.
