Hardraw May Folk Gathering 2012

Hardraw May Folk Gathering Friday 4 - Sunday 6 May 2012

Hardraw May Folk Gathering

Spend May Day Bank Holiday weekend enjoying wonderful music at the Green Dragon Inn, Hardraw near Hawes in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.
The name, Hawes, means a ‘pass between mountains’, and it stands between Buttertubs and Fleet Moss. The town is an excellent centre for walking and touring Wensleydale and the adjoining dales of Swaledale, Cotterdale, Dentdale, Garsdale, Wharfedale and Ribblesdale. Take a walk round the Hawes Town Trail, or Millennium Walk, or Pennine Way or along the River Ure, which is nearby. The three peaks of Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen y Ghent are all temping possibilities for keen walkers and Aysgarth falls are spectacular – especially after rain.

We are thrilled to be able to include them in our lineup as they will be in the middle of a big national tour. Expect remarkable musicianship, hilarious humour (and probably audience participation).
