Norman Beaker Band

Norman Beaker has been at the forefront of the British Blues scene for over 3 decades playing with Alexis Korner, Graham Bond, Jack Bruce, Tony Ashton, Paul Jones, Eric Burdon and many others. BB King commented, “Norman is like a white Freddy King”, a compliment indeed, and not one wasted on the many artistes Norman has subsequently worked with including: BB, Jimmy Rogers, Buddy Guy, Lowell Fulson, Fenton Robinson, Chuck Berry, Carey Bell James Booker, Jon Lord, Larry Garner and Ruby Turner to name just a few .The Beaker Band are one of the hardest working bands on the circuit and one of a the few acts, playing songs relevant today. Recently the band have been touring Europe with Chris Farlowe and Van Morrison. They have a new album “Who’s he calling me him” and are permanently on the road in their own right and with Larry Garner, and of course Chris Farlowe for nearly 20 years and the collaboration with Jack Bruce never ends. The band mix a blend of all types of blues with a lot of energy and also with a lot of humour.

KIM NISHIKAWARA Sax

Born in Canada of Japanese parentage, is without doubt one of the finest saxophonist on the scene today and has worked extensively as a multi instrumentalist with Michael Buble, who he actually was arranger for. He has also worked with Jack Bruce, Alan Price, Larry Garner, Maggie Bell, Phil Collins and a whos who that goes on for ever.

JOHN PRICE Bass

One of the busiest bass players around ,has recorded and played with Van Morrison, Chris Farlowe, Eric Burdon, Tony Ashton, Tony McPhee, Herbie Goins, Mick Abrahams no need to go on is there ? John has been in the Beaker Band for over 20 years , now that’s dedication.

STEVE GIBSON – Drums

A real powerhouse of the kit, in his early days he even worked with the Buzzcocks, but has become one of the busiest drummers around, working with Chris Farlowe, Larry Garner, Herbie Goins, Irma Thomas, Jack Bruce etc
