The Barber of Seville is a wonderful opera, full of fun, wit and musical improvisation. Rossini completed the composition of the opera in record time: just 24 days.
Posing as a poor student one day and a piano instructor the next, Count Almaviva lays siege upon the beautiful Rosina, pent up in the home of her guardian Bartolo, who also wants her hand in marriage. After overcoming numerous obstacles and comic situations, the count and the damsel finally manage to exchange marriage vows. But none of this could have happened without the help of the ingenious Figaro.
