The Folk Thing Music Festival 2011

About the festival

The event is a joint venture between the Carington Arms, Ashby Folville Estate and a local motorcycle club from Nottingham, who are providing staff, artists, PA and enthusiasm.

2009 was the first year of the event which was very well received and we returned by popular demand in 2010.

In 2009 and 2010 over twenty acts performed over the course of two days, from full groups to solo vocal, singer-song-writers, a ceilidh band and folk-rock acoustic covers.

The overwhelming spirit of the feedback was "perfect, don't change a thing", so we're back again for 2011 with the same format and a line-up of old friends and new.
