the Pécs Folk Days has been offering a representative sample of the traditional music of the nations living in the Carpathian Basin and other nations from the world as a whole. In addition to national performers of the highest standard in the genre, various European ethnic groups and exponents of remote, exotic cultures will enrich the palette of the concert series.

The Festival will feature bands and musicians playing authentic instrumental and vocal folk music as well as productions seeking new ways of expression which use folklore as a source to present different styles of music to people  of today. So, the world music and crossover projects so popular these days will add something new to the presentation of authentic, traditional musical heritage and at the same time keep  pace with the taste of young people and the 21st century. The concerts will be followed by dance houses in the evenings with the participation of the performing musicians.
